How to care for cashmere — washing, storing and pilling
Cashmere is a natural fibre that prefers to be worn often and washed rarely. Most of the care happens between washes.

Wash rarely, air often
Hang the knit in fresh air after wearing instead of washing it. The fibre releases odour on its own, and every wash wears it more than a full day of wear.
When it is time: hand wash in lukewarm water with wool detergent, or a wool cycle at 30°C max. No fabric softener, and keep the spin low.
Dry flat
Press the water out gently without wringing, roll the garment in a towel, then dry it flat. Hanging a wet knit stretches the shoulders and length permanently.
Pilling and storage
Pilling is friction, not poor quality. Remove pills with a cashmere comb or fabric shaver after a few wears and the surface gets smoother every season.
Store folded, never on a hanger. Over summer: clean knit in a cotton bag with cedar — moths are attracted to sweat and skin residue, not to the wool itself.
